• Athlone Training Centre's Moodle Many of our Athlone Training Centre programmes uses Moodle for online Course Management, Assessments, Class Forum & sharing of programme resources.
• Microsoft Teams Athlone Training Centre uses Microsoft Teams to schedule & deliver live online classes, provide recording of classes, class chat functions & more.
• Microsoft Office 365 Using your new LWETB email you will have access to Microsoft's large suite of online tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook & many more applications.
• Kahoot & other online learning tools Our Athlone Training Centre instructors will use many different online applications to help deliver a more interactive online experience.
• Adobe Creative Cloud Many of our courses have access to the online suite of Adobe products such as Dreamweaver & Photoshop.
• GMETRIX Platform Gmetrix is a program that allows you to practice taking Microsoft, Adobe and many other online exams.
• PearsonVue Authorised Test Centre Athlone Training Centre is an authorised PearsonVue test centre and accommodates the delivery of a full suite of both PearsonVue & Certiport online testing events.

Signing into Microsoft Teams

Trainees and Apprentices will be paid allowances (if applicable) as set out by Department of Social Protection. Your entitlement will be explained to you when you register at the beginning of your course. Training allowances are credited directly to your nominated bank account weekly and are paid on a one-week in arrears basis. Deductions will be made in respect of lates and absences.

You will also receive training allowances in respect of public holidays that occur during your time on the course.

Logging in to the Athlone Training Centre Moodle

Athlone Training Centre has a free bus service running to the centre for registered trainees. This service runs from a number of locations in the Midlands. To view the timetable please click here.

Travel allowance is payable if you live a set distance from the Training Centre or your unable to avail of the bus service or an accommodation allowance can be paid to those who live more than 20 miles for adult courses from the training centre, who have to move into accommodation to enable them to attend their course.
